In November 2025, we were proud to host one of the stops for Sarah Cox’s Great North Marathon Challenge for Children in Need. When our ovens went down on the morning of the event, our amazing Patrick Brompton communitystepped in — taking trays of cakes and pastries home to bake and bringing them back for the BBC team.

It was incredible to be even a small part of such an amazing challenge, helping to raise over £9.5 million for Children in Need. Seeing everyone come together with generosity and community spirit made the day truly unforgettable — a moment we’ll always be proud of at The Green Tree Inn.
